Eicher Trucks and Buses record 25% growth in sales in May 2011

Eicher Trucks and Buses have recorded sales of 3515 units in the month of May 2011.

The following are the key highlights for May 2011

• The sale of 3515 units in May 2011 is 25% higher than the sales of Eicher Trucks and Buses in May 2010.
• Eicher Trucks and Buses have recorded a growth of 29% in the domestic CV market (5T & above) in May 2011 when compared to May 2010. In 5-12t light & medium duty truck segment it has recorded 30% growth.
• The ‘VE Series’ of fuel-efficient heavy-duty (HD) Eicher trucks have recorded a growth of 50% over May 2010 in the domestic market.
• Eicher Trucks and Buses have also recorded a sale of 309 units in export market which is marginally lower than 313 units in May 2010. However the export order book remains strong.
