Eicher Trucks and Buses record sales of 4436 units in Feb 2012

The following are the key highlights for Feb 2012

• Eicher branded trucks and buses recorded sales of 4436 units in Feb 2012, registering a 13% growth over last year. The YTD 2012 sales stood at 8144 units as compared to YTD 2011 sales of 7440 units.
• In the Bus segment, Eicher branded Buses recorded a 57% growth. The Feb 2012 sales stood at 598 units as compared to 380 units in February 2011. The YTD 2012 sales were 963 units as compared to YTD 2011 sales of 580 units, representing a 66% growth. While in the heavy-duty (HD) segment, Eicher branded trucks recorded sales of 594 units in the domestic market. YTD Eicher HD sales were 1173 units as against 1155 units in 2011, registering a 2% growth.
• On the Exports front Eicher branded Trucks and Buses recorded sales of 250 units in Feb 2012 as against 253 units in Feb 2011. However the exports pipeline continues to be very healthy.
